Is this a later issue than the UK release at the top of the page? Or were they put out at the same time? Is this considered a first pressing? Is one better sounding than the other? Lots of??????’s

A look at the cover doesn't tell us anything about the music. No rock nor Heavy Rock motives! Hipgnosis only transformed "Technical Ecstasy" into an image. A male robot and a female robot (what an idea!) on an escalator. One up, one down. Both heads are linked to each other with a - beam. Hipgnosis liked the idea of things without any known form or meaning in covers; like in Presence by Led Zeppelin. Do they fight? Do they beget? The answers not given."Technical Ecstasy" is absolutely not the best album by the heavy metal founders from Birmingham. Too many average rock songs like "Rock'n'Roll Doctor". Therefore I really like the 'popsongs' on this release. As there is to name "It's Alright" - sung by Bill Ward. A song that reminds me pretty much to the Beatles. Even the big tear-jerker "She's Gone" is a great ballad. But you can also find some strong rockers on this album from 1976. "Back Street Kids" is a song about the attitude being a rocker for lifetime. But my highlight is the scarcely progressive "Dirty Women" about a guy losing himself in the night. He's looking for a woman for a night. A woman to make him feel good. He finds 'take away women' are not the badest solution. A wonderful song about punters and their motives. All in all an album I don't want to miss.

The sleeve of the UK release in my collection differs from the one shown in the image which appears with this release. The Vertigo logo appears at bottom right. Is this a variant or is the image shown with this release wrong? My LP also contains a lyric sheet which was not initially indicated with this release but which I have now added (with images). Did every LP of this release come with that lyric sheet or only the early editions?

Mine came with a lyric sheet but it is an early edition anyway.
