Notes

Produced by Orbit-Universal Music Co., Ltd.

Different labels from The Who - My Generation. This is a reissue (probably from the late 1960s or even early 1970s), as the first press was released on the black Decca label with silver type in 1965. The multicoloured Decca label was introduced in Canada in mid-1967. The first Canadian Who 45 to appear with that label was I Can See For Miles / Mary-Anne With The Shaky Hands.Version identical to: The Who - My Generation - only the marix is different

On the cover, A5 is miscredited to Pavey, Doonican, on the label credited to Townshend.

Comments to album The Who - My Generation
Shou
Great sounding cut of the original mono mix of this album (the only way to listen to this album). Also, a hell of a lot cheaper than an original Brunswick, and better sounding than the U.S. Decca or MCA equivalents. I understand that there was another variation of this same issue that was cut by George Peckham ("A Poky Prime Cut" in the deadwax), but this one doesn't have any mastering info on the matrix. Any idea why another cut was done so soon after the original? Perhaps the Peckham one is a little hot, and being this album already distorts in spots naturally because of how it was recorded perhaps his cut exacerbated these issues? Either way, this issue sounds great. If you want to hear this album the way it was intended, this is the version to get.
