There seems to be a pressing fault with this one, you can hear a different track under "we are the knights"

Not as well known as the main Electro series but for me this is the pinnacle for track listing and mixing. As mentioned in the other comments below, the L.A side was mixed so well you couldn't tell which elements were from hip hop don't stop and which were from Release yourself. That mix transition is an example of 2 tracks that were made for each other. This is the most under rated , Perfect L.P. ever

or the bucks stop here... . . . .. ..

you know it!! I cant ever hear Aleem without thinking be Bop is coming in

I used to have the original to this and it's true, the mixing on these Vinyl compolitions were phoenomninal. Credit to the guys on the wheels of steel. If you had some of the originals, and I did. This was because I used to hang out at Groove Records in Soho, which was where every DJ in London got the latest imports from the East Coast and the West Coast. The shop no longer exsists and is now sadly a sex shop! Music was the other reason to hang around Soho on a Saturday ahem!

This record is exceptional for two reasons (that is, if you're into oldschool electro) 1: the tracklist is outstanding 2: the way the tracks are mixed is more than I can express in words... Absolutely tremendous. One can't hardly hear where one track stops and where the other one starts! after I first heard it back in the days it took me years to realize some of the tracks were two rather than one single track. This goes more for the LA side, where tracks fluently merge into one another. The style on the NY side is different (but equally well done) in that the tracks have more pronounced, but original, transitions.
